What is Dermapen (Advanced Skin Needling)?

Dermapen Advanced Skin Needling is a nonsurgical skin resurfacing treatment.

The skin is numbed before treatment, using a local anaesthetic cream, so that all that is felt by the client is a slight prickling sensation.

Dermapen uses multiple needles that pierce the skin creating temporary tiny vertical channels which stimulate the natural dermal processes, leading to skin tightening and remodelling.

This process of creating thousands of microscopic holes in the skin causes the release of serum growth factors which stimulate new collagen and elastin production from the fibroblast cells in the skin.

What is Dermapen used For?

As it stimulates collagen production, Dermapen can:

- Improve acne scars and wound healing

- Tighten, lift and rejuvenate the skin

- Improve wrinkles and fine lines

- Minimize pore size

- Improve the appearance of stretch marks

What are the possible side effects?

Immediately after your treatment your skin may look as though you have sunburn and feel warmer and tighter than usual.  This is normal and should subside after 1 or 2 hours and recover completely within 24-48  hours. There may be slight skin flaking for a day or two after treatment.

What are the costs, and how long does it last?

Dermapen costs £275.00 per treatment.

A course of three treatments is recommended to achieve the best results, leaving about 6 weeks in between each treatment.

The skin continues to improve in appearance for up to 6 months after finishing the treatments, when the  long lasting final result is visible.

Dermapen Therapy is only available from trained medical practitioners and authorised clinics.  Its quality and safety are guaranteed.  This is a professional treatment and should not be confused with home treatments.
